WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Whatley released a statement on Joe Biden’s weakness on China:
“In a last-minute election year ploy to gaslight voters into thinking he is tough on China, weak Joe Biden is admitting that the Trump-era trade policy worked and his failed EV mandate is being taken advantage of by China. President Trump’s America First trade policy reduced the trade deficit, grew wages, created over 500,000 new manufacturing jobs, and made America strong. Biden has consistently put China first, but President Trump will put America first on day one when he is elected in November.”

Today, in an election year ploy to appear tough on China, Biden will announce higher tariffs on certain Chinese goods, including electric vehicles.
If Crooked Joe Biden was serious about protecting American jobs, he would repeal his electric vehicle mandate that’s killing the U.S. auto industry.
Biden is attempting to insulate himself from criticism over his job-killing “green” obsession — autoworkers be damned.
His announcement will have little effect on China, which already barely relies on the U.S. for its electric vehicle sales thanks to President Trump’s existing Section 301 tariffs. As a result, China is looking to manufacture their vehicles in Mexico — and subsequently ship into the U.S. (something Biden conveniently omits).
President Trump, meanwhile, will slap 200% tariffs on vehicles made by Chinese companies in Mexico — and crack down on China’s predatory trade practices once and for all.
The cold, hard reality is Biden is anything but “tough” on China — and has spent his career selling out American workers and factories to China.
President Trump will END Biden’s job-killing EV mandate, build on his trade success — and keep Chinese vehicles out of the United States.
