Ron Young, Ohio House 63rd District

Ron Young and his wife, Kathy, have been married since 1975 and presently reside in Leroy Township, where they have lived since 1987. Prior to that, Ron and Kathy lived in Eastlake. They have five daughters and one grandchild. Ron attends the LIFEhouse Christian Church in Lake County. During the years 1997 through 2004, Ron represented eastern Lake County as its State Representative in the Ohio General Assembly.

During his eight years in the General Assembly, Ron chaired two of the most influential committees in the Ohio Statehouse: the Commerce & Labor and State Government Committees. He sponsored and passed critical legislative initiatives and was known as a skilled advocate for business and economic growth.

In 1981, Ron founded Technical Employment Services Inc (TES), which focuses on Engineering, Scientific and Industrial segment job placement

In 2008, TES earned the “Fast Track 50” award from Lakeland Community College and was the recipient of the prestigious “Weatherhead 100 Award” from Case Western Reverse University’s School of Management in recognition of the firm’s success.

TES now works on a national and international scope to cultivate its client base and in the process provides skilled professionals with a broad range of career options. The firm’s success hinges upon recruiting and professionally presenting qualified people to appropriate and exciting opportunities. TES clients range from rapidly growing smaller companies to some of the world’s largest Fortune 500 firms.

Ron served in the United States Army for four years. Upon his honorable discharge, he attended Kent State University, where he received a BA of Psychology and a Certificate in Education from Cleveland State University. He taught in the public school system just after graduation. Ron was born in Canton, Ohio.
