Sarah Fowler

I am a life-long resident of Ohio and currently reside in Ashtabula
County where I have served as a poll worker for several years. I have
been involved in several petition drives, including; the Ohio Marriage
Amendment (2004), the Peoples Constitution Coalition of Ohio’s State
Sovereignty Amendment (2010) and the Ohio Healthcare Freedom
Amendment, which was approved by a 2:1 margin last November. I also
have been a small business owner/operator for 13 years and have
additional experience through our family business. I am a homeschool
graduate and a farmer, NOT a politician!
I am running for the State Board of Education in District 7 because I
believe we need to restore local accountability in our school districts and
reduce bureaucratic regulation. Parental involvement in the education of
their children should be encouraged not hampered by policy and
regulations. I am also concerned about the unconstitutional funding of
public education through property taxes and believe we should move
toward a more broad-based funding system
